COURSE OBJECTIVES
- Understand rationale for surgical ridge splitting procedure.- Identify criteria for case selection for bone graft procedure.- Develop understanding and considerations for bone graft procedures.- Define the biologic principles for bone graft augmentation.- Discuss guided bone regenerative (GBR) techniques to optimize sites for predictable implant
and bone graft outcome.- Diagnose the criteria to determine need for bone augmentation.
COURSE SUMMARY
- Growing Bone – Biologic considerations- C.G.F.(Concentrated Growth Factor) GBR techniques- Presenting various bone graft surgery techniques.- Understanding biologic components of recipient bone and their influence for bone graft procedures are
presented via slides and selected videos. Clinical criteria for various bone augmentation surgery are discussed, including ridge splitting procedures and bone augmentation with particulate material and titanium mesh membranes are used to manage the lack of available bone necessary for successful implant treatment.
